My host Mom, Dorah, however, would disagree. Have you ever seen someone about to put a worm in their mouth? No? Either had I. And if you ever did thnk about someone putting a worm in their mouth, did you ever think they’d look so happy?




















Some kids sneak a peek of traditional Venda clothe.























Traditional Venda clothing. Women still often dress like this when going to town or on more formal occasions. Men throughout most of South Africa have shed their traditional clothes for western suits. Note the metal bracelets on her wrists and ankles. Between their four appendages, women can literally wear a couple hundred of these at a time. Female PCVs have taken to the bracelets and frequently ask me to pick up 5 or 10 from Venda.
